Criteria for Submission
Global Health-interested students, faculty and health care providers of all disciplines are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation on any global health service, research, education, or policy topic. Descriptions of short and long term projects, field site development, etc., are also welcome. Abstracts need not be related to the conference theme.
Preference is given to work done in underdeveloped and underserved areas globally. Posters will be selected through a competitive process. Funding from program producers for travel and registration is not available for this meeting. We urge participants with accepted posters to contact sources at their respective schools for funding and/or fund raising ideas.
- STUDENTS: Your role in the project should be well defined and clear and a faculty member must review your project. Please ensure that the abstract has been prepared as per the suggested guidelines.
- RESIDENTS AND FACULTY: In addition to other topics, we encourage you to submit abstracts for posters describing international programs and field elective sites.
Maximum Poster Size: 3' wide x 4' high. (See Guidelines for Making a Good Poster for tips and ideas).
Criteria for selection: All submissions will be evaluated by the abstract committee by the following criteria: originality; organization; quality and clarity; methods and materials used; and importance of the project in regards to the problem addressed and relevance to global health issues.
